Here are a few of the 15 quilts we made over a two-month period for the nieces and nephews. I put the quilts together and my wonderful mother-in-law and husband ran the quilting machine. Fleece was used for the backs of all but two of these to ensure they would be cozy when they snuggle with them. The giraffe quilt was made for my friend's grand-son. I used flannel on the back.
The first two pictures are of the front and back of the one that was made for our daughter. I loved the MoMo fabrics, happy colors and cute prints!
I first learned to quilt from my mother, Patti Oates who passed away in October of 2007. She left behind loads and loads of fabric, which was used to create these quilts, each specially created for the grand children, making them extra special since they're kind of from her too.
